From ambition to impact

Strategy without execution architecture is a deck. We build both. Digital Nowists works with C-suite executives at the moment a transformation stops being optional, and stays through value realization.

Leaders with a transformation that can't wait

Our clients are the executives who own the outcome: the CEO, the chief digital officer, the COO, the CMO. They run fiduciary and regulated businesses. In those settings a botched cutover is a front-page risk and an AI output that is confident but wrong is a compliance event. We design for that standard from the first sprint, with compliance and risk in the room before the first line of scope is written.

We work at the intersection of client experience, strategy, business need, market, technology, and operations. Our job is to take the complexity out and get stakeholders behind one plan. Then we run execution to a number the board can check.

In practice that means helping organizations take on change with confidence, modernize their digital ecosystems, and build a measurable path to growth with resilience designed in. Vision is tied to disciplined execution, and the operating model is built to keep improving after we leave, so the value lasts past the program.

Engagements start where the organization already is. Some clients bring a board mandate and no roadmap. Others bring a stalled program and a budget review in 90 days. Either way, the first move is the same: find the release that proves the operating model under real risk, and ship it.

Twelve things we do, each one owned through to value

Strategy on its own is a recommendation. Each service below comes with the execution architecture, the governance, and the adoption program that turn it into a result the business owns.

AI and ML-powered innovation

Use-case pipeline, value case, governance model, and adoption program, built so a risk-averse board can vote yes and a regulator can follow the audit trail.

Business analytics and intelligence

Unify fragmented data and build the intelligence layer, so decisions get made on one set of numbers instead of four spreadsheets.

Digital client reporting

Dashboards, narratives, personalization, and the delivery cadence for the report your clients actually read, with compliance in the design reviews from the first sprint.

Digital banking transformation

Core and digital banking platforms rebuilt under a running business, in risk-sequenced waves with rehearsed cutovers. Advisors stop handling routine requests by hand.

Digital marketing and martech

CMS, CRM, CDP, and customer journey platforms selected and sequenced for adoption, with marketing automation that passes compliance review.

Digital client experience transformation

Client and employee journeys redesigned end to end, from the first login to the quarterly review, and shipped in releases the front line asks for.

Emerging tech and client experience exploration

Structured pilots in generative AI and agents, each with a kill criterion and a path to production if it earns one.

Leadership consulting and C-suite advisory

Strategy, operating model, org design, and KPI alignment for CEOs and boards, translated into a funded roadmap the organization trusts.

M&A digital integration and harmonization

Systems, brands, processes, and the people who run them harmonized across acquired entities, including digital rebranding, on a timeline the deal thesis can survive.

Program and portfolio management

Transformation portfolios run on Agile and Lean delivery with forecast-versus-delivered tracking, and governance a CFO can read in one page.

Story creation and workshop facilitation

The narrative that gets the program funded, built with the stakeholders who have to carry it, in workshops that end with decisions.

Vendor and technology management

CMS, CRM, and CDP estates and the vendors behind them: selection, contracts, roadmap alignment, and the exit plan you negotiate on day one.

Think big, start small, win confidence, widen the circles

Four moves, in that order. Each one is a gate, and each one compounds on the last.

01

Think big

Name the end state in the board's language and the value in dollars, with the risks on the same page as the upside.

02

Start small

Pick the first release that proves the operating model under real risk. A sandbox proves nothing a CFO will fund.

03

Win confidence

Ship it with compliance, risk, and the front line in the room from day one, so approval is a formality by launch.

04

Widen the circles

Scale what worked across entities and markets, with governance that compounds instead of multiplying.

We've built AI governance models in fiduciary environments where a confident but false output is a compliance event. We've run programs that ended as platforms because we wrote the playbook alongside the delivery.

Transformation is a series of marathons, each one compounding on the last. We run them with you.

Results the client owns

Two engagements, client unnamed by agreement. The numbers below are the client's numbers.

UHNW wealth management

How a wealth manager cut advisor prep time from 11 days to 2 with AI-assisted client reporting

11 to 2 days
Advisor preparation per reporting cycle
61% to 94%
Compliance first-pass approval
$48M
At-risk fee value retained

The problem

The firm served 2,800 client relationships, and each reporting cycle cost advisors 11 days of preparation. Compliance approved 61% of narratives on first pass. Roughly $48M in annual fee value sat with clients who had [flagged reporting as a reason to review the relationship].

The approach

We built the AI governance model before we built the product. Every generated narrative passed [a validation layer] before an advisor saw it, compliance sat in design reviews from the first sprint, and the adoption program trained [number] advisors over [period].

The impact

Narrative accuracy reached 98%. First-pass approval rose to 94%. Preparation time fell to 2 days, and the at-risk fee base stayed with the firm.

Private banking

How a private bank rebuilt its core banking rails with zero service disruptions

0
Service disruptions through the cutover
69%
Fewer advisor-handled banking requests
$2.8M
Recurring annual savings, plus $1.82M one-time

The problem

The core banking platform behind 2,800 client relationships, 6,000 accounts, and about 28,000 daily transactions had aged past patching. [What forced the decision: vendor end of life, a regulatory finding, or run cost.] Advisors still handled routine banking requests by hand.

The approach

We rebuilt the rails under the running train. Delivery was sequenced by risk in [number] waves, each with a rehearsed cutover and a go/no-go gate the operations team controlled. Routine requests moved to [self-service channel].

The impact

Zero service disruptions through the cutover. Advisor-handled banking requests fell 69%. The bank booked $1.82M in one-time savings and $2.8M in recurring annual savings.

Full case studies, with the governance exhibits and the forecast-versus-delivered ledger, are available on request.

The person who ran the portfolio is the person you work with

Sidharth Mehta, Managing Director, Digital Nowists

Sidharth Mehta

Managing Director

Sidharth founded Digital Nowists on one idea: a Nowist acts in the present to shape what comes next. He has spent more than 20 years in digital strategy and large-scale transformation, and he started in digital product management at Thomson Reuters.

Since then he has run complex digital portfolios and global programs across wealth management, financial services, consulting, staffing, and publishing, at Bessemer Trust, ManpowerGroup, and Adecco Group. The work is the same in each: take a strategic priority and turn it into a funded, scalable roadmap. His portfolio covers AI and ML-powered transformation, digital banking and marketing ecosystems, client experience modernization, and digital integration through M&A.

C-suite leaders bring him in when a program has become complicated and the stakeholders are pulling in different directions. He simplifies the problem and delivers outcomes that can be measured. He keeps studying: he teaches Transformation Portfolio Management at Columbia University, where he earned an MS in Information Engineering and Knowledge Management Strategy, and he completed MIT's program in generative AI.

Outside work he lives in New York City with two toy poodles and covers most of the city on foot. He reads widely and follows aviation closely enough to call himself an avgeek. Evenings go to Broadway and MoMA. He volunteers on digital literacy programs and makes the case for AI as a tool for positive change wherever he can.

Before the first call

What does Digital Nowists do?

We are a boutique digital strategy and transformation advisory in New York. We define the strategy, sequence the execution, and own the lifecycle through value realization, across AI and data, enterprise intelligence, platform modernization, martech, and M&A integration.

Who do you work with?

C-suite executives and their direct reports at banks, wealth managers, family offices, private equity firms, consultancies, law firms, and healthcare organizations, usually at the point a transformation has a board date attached.

How does an engagement start?

With a 30-minute conversation about the decision in front of you. If there is a fit, the first engagement is typically a [four to six week] diagnostic that ends in a funded roadmap and a first release the board can approve.

How are you different from a large consultancy?

You work directly with someone who ran a $25M-a-year transformation portfolio inside a fiduciary business. We stay through delivery, and the playbook is yours when we leave.

Do you take interim or full-time executive roles?

Yes. Sidharth takes on executive mandates in transformation and AI enablement, interim and permanent. The resume is linked above.
